Robin Cook Dies

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Former foreign secretary Robin Cook has died aged just 59 after a fall while mountain walking. The Labour MP was walking with his wife and friends along the summit of Ben Stack in the Highlands when he collapsed.

He is thought to have suffered a head injury.Mr Cook's second wife Gaynor tried to resuscitate him for nearly 40 minutes before he was taken by air ambulanceto a hospital in Inverness at around 2.30pm. It is believed she had to ask other walkers to dial 999 for help as they had no means of communication themselves. Mr Cook, MP for Livingston since 1983,was not breathing when paramedics reached him and was pronounced dead at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness at4.05pm.
My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family, for the full story click HERE
